First Time in Lakshadweep? Do It on Agatti in 4 Days

If you have a long weekend and one island to spend it on, make it Agatti. Here's exactly what our 4D/3N package looks like — and why it's the best starter trip to Lakshadweep.

Agatti Island lagoon with white sand beach and shallow turquoise water

Agatti is where every Lakshadweep trip begins — the only island in the archipelago with an airport, and arguably the one with the most photogenic lagoon. If it's your first visit and you can only spare four days, this is the trip we recommend. Starting from ₹9,500 per person, it packs in the archipelago's signature experiences without the pace of a multi-island itinerary.

01

Why Agatti works for first-timers

Agatti is small — roughly seven kilometres of coral island wrapped in a shallow lagoon — which means you're never more than a short walk from the water. Direct flights from Kochi take about ninety minutes, so a Friday-to-Monday trip is genuinely realistic. And because we're locally based on Agatti, everything from your permit to your last airport drop is handled by the same team.

02

Day 1 — Airport pick-up and lagoon sightseeing

Land in Agatti, meet our team, check into your resort and have a traditional Lakshadweep lunch. In the afternoon we do a half-day loop covering Lagoon Beach, Andhan Beach and both jetties — the eastern one for photos, the western one for sunset.

03

Day 2 — Kayaking and a Kalpitty sunset

Morning kayaking in the lagoon, an easy paddle even for beginners. In the evening a glass-bottom boat takes you across to Kalpitty Island — a tiny uninhabited islet where you'll snorkel over coral gardens, watch turtles feed, and return with the sun on your back.

04

Day 3 — Optional Bangaram–Thinnakara day trip

The third day is deliberately flexible. Most guests take the optional full-day excursion to the Bangaram sandbank and Thinnakara Island (₹2,500 per person, subject to weather) — snorkelling, a picnic lunch and dolphin sightings on the boat ride. If the sea is rough or you'd rather stay put, spend it lazily on Agatti's lagoon instead.

05

Day 4 — Final breakfast and departure

One last breakfast, a quick swim, and a five-minute transfer to Agatti Airport for your Kochi flight home.

06

Inclusions at a glance

Entry permit assistance, beach resort stay, all meals (breakfast, lunch and dinner), snorkelling, glass-bottom boat rides and airport transfers on both ends are included. Flights, the Bangaram–Thinnakara excursion, scuba diving (₹3,500) and personal expenses are separate.

07

How much you'll actually pay

The 4D/3N Agatti package starts at ₹9,500 per person on a standard apartment stay (Lala Apartment). A premium beach resort like Ocean Oasis moves you to about ₹14,500 per person, and the luxury tier at White Pearl Beach Resort is ₹18,500 per person. Couples and children are quoted separately.

For most first-time visitors this is exactly the right amount of Lakshadweep — enough to see the lagoon, snorkel a proper reef, and land back home rested rather than wrecked. When you're ready, share your travel dates and we'll build a personalised itinerary in a few hours.
