Bangaram is the closest India has to a private-island honeymoon. It's an uninhabited atoll ringed by a shallow lagoon and a dramatic drop-off reef — the kind of place where your only neighbours are hermit crabs and reef sharks. Our 5D/4N honeymoon itinerary is built around slow mornings, one big excursion, and evenings that end on a sandbank instead of a dinner queue. Prices start at ₹32,000 per person.
Day 1 — Kochi to Agatti to Bangaram
Fly Kochi to Agatti in the morning. Our team meets you, walks you through your permit, and boards you onto the speedboat to Bangaram — about ninety minutes across the lagoon. Check into your beach cottage, freshen up, and join us for a welcome dinner set up on the sand.
Day 2 — Sandbank picnic and the house reef
A private sandbank picnic — literally a strip of white sand in the middle of the lagoon that only appears at certain tides — followed by snorkelling on Bangaram's house reef. The drop-off here is dramatic: from ankle-deep water you're suddenly looking at a coral wall dropping thirty metres.
Day 3 — Thinnakara day trip
A full-day boat excursion to Thinnakara Island. Expect dolphin sightings on the crossing, green turtles in the shallows, and a picnic lunch on the beach. Back to Bangaram in time for a slow sunset on your cottage veranda.
Day 4 — Leisure day and sunset sail
A deliberately empty morning — sleep in, use the couples' spa (charged separately), swim off the beach. In the evening we hand you over to a small sailboat for a sunset sail with light dinner and drinks on board. This is the day most couples say the trip finally 'switched off' for them.
Day 5 — Departure
Boat back to Agatti in the morning and airport transfer for your Kochi flight. If you'd like to stretch the trip, we can add a night on Agatti at the end — many honeymoon couples do.
What's included
Beach cottage stay on Bangaram, all meals, snorkelling, the private sandbank picnic, sunset sail, and inter-island transfers are all included. Flights, scuba diving, spa treatments and personal expenses are separate.
Pricing
The base package is ₹32,000 per person in a Bangaram Beach Cottage, and ₹42,000 per person in the Ocean Villa tier. Couple rates and child add-ons are quoted on the package page — most honeymoon guests upgrade to the villa for the private veranda and outdoor shower.
